VGMA23: Angry Fans Fume After KiDi’s Touch It Won Most Popular Song Over Second Sermon
Social media users are embroiled in a bitter beef after the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards night which was held on Saturday, May 7th 2022.
KiDi won the coveted Artiste of the Year award, finally getting redemption for his disappointment last year.
He also won the most popular song of the year, his song Touch It beating Second Sermon by Black Sherif aka Killer Blacko.
Arguments broke out on social media immediately KiDi won, with fans divided over the award.
Some said KiDi deserved it but Black Sherif fans declared it a daylight robbery.
Fans compared the situation to a few years ago when Patapaa’s One Corner was robbed in favour of Fany Gadam’s Total Cheat in the same Most Popular of the Year category.
Patapaa declared after that event that Charterhouse took money to rob him of the award and some Sherif fans expressed the same sentiment.
