Veteran Kumawood actor, Agya Manu, known in private life as Samuel Manu, was finally laid to rest over the weekend with a big funeral.
Agya Manu passed away on June 16 this year at the age of 50 after battling with a brief illness. He left behind five children, grandchildren and a void in the movie industry.
The actor who starred in over 100 movies was given a befitting burial and funeral ceremony at the Arts Centre in Accra on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Friends and cronies across the entertainment space came in their numbers to pay their last respect to him.
Although it was a sad occasion, the funeral of Agya Manu turned out to be a big reunion for Kumawood actors and actresses.
Some notable faces spotted at the grounds were Christiana Awuni, Agya Koo, Bill Asamoah, Lilwin, Oboy Siki, Sumsum, Auntie B, Akyere Bruwaa, Matilda Asare among others famous personalities.
Being an actor for the most part of his life, the mortal remains of Agya Manu was buried in a strange casket designed like a canon digital camera.
This was to give a depiction of how the veteran actor spent his days on earth educating and entertaining people through the lens of a camera.
Some actors like Agya Koo did not only attend the funeral but also thrilled mourners with performances with the bandsmen.
Agya Koo was seen in videos holding a microphone singing some funeral songs to honour the memory of Agya Manu.
