TV3 Hosts Are More NDC Than The NDC Communicators And Serial Callers- George Krobea Asante

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced a boycott of Media General, a Ghanaian media conglomerate, citing biased reporting and unfair treatment of NPP representatives.

According to George Krobea Asante, Deputy National Communications Director for the NPP, the party leadership and communication directors have agreed to boycott all Media General platforms and affiliated stations, effective immediately.

In an interview on Movement TV’s “Movement in the Morning” show, George Krobea accused Media General hosts of being biased towards the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Media General hosts are more NDC than NDC communicators and serial callers,” he stated.

Asante cited TV3’s conduct over the years, particularly its handling of panel discussions, as a major reason for the boycott. He claimed that TV3 often invites more NDC members than NPP members to participate in discussions, and that NPP representatives are frequently not given the opportunity to speak or express their views.

The NPP has also accused Media General of failing to maintain impartiality and objectivity in its reporting. Krobea emphasized that the party’s presence on Media General platforms does not add credibility to their reporting, and that the boycott is necessary to expose the media house’s biased reporting.

The boycott is effective immediately, and NPP members have been instructed not to participate in any Media General programs or events.
