The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has latched on to the victory of Bola Tinubu stating that his victory in the Nigeria presidential election is testament that the NPP would break the 8 in Ghana.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi indicated to Wontumionline.com that members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) particularly former President John Mahama, are waking up to the new reality that the agenda to break it not just mere talks but a reality.
“John Mahama knows NPP will win the 2024 elections. The incumbent in Nigeria has broken the 8 so would we (NPPP). When Buhari won in Nigeria, NPP won here in Ghana, and then they maintained power so did we. Now they have broken the 8 in Nigeria and are also going to repeat the same thing in Ghana”, Chairman Wontumi expressed with optimism.
Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared the winner of the presidential election.
