Three Injured After Explosion At Vulcanizer Shop In New Nkusukum

Three people sustained various degrees of injuries after an explosion involving a vulcanizer machine and are currently receiving treatment at the Roman Hospital in Mankessim, Central Region.

One of the victims, Richard, believed to be in his 30s, is in critical condition.

The unfortunate incident occurred at New Nkusukum near Volta Bar in the Mfantseman Municipality.

Speaking to Adom News, an eyewitness, Isaac Opoku, said they were offloading goods near the vulcanizer shop when the explosion happened.

Some bystanders rushed to the scene and found Richard lying down with his intestines protruding, while two others suffered broken legs.

One of the victims revealed that they were pumping a tyre when the machine exploded under circumstances yet to be determined.
