The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has affirmed that the State will be fully involved in the burial of Christian Atsu.
Dr Bawumia said that the government will liaise with the family of the former Black Stars player to give him a befitting burial.
In his speech during the arrival of the mortal remains of Christian Atsu at the Kotoka International Airport on Sunday night captured by Wontumionline.com, he wept that the death of Christian Atsu is very painful.
“He was much loved and we will sorely miss him,” the Vice President said.
Dr Bawumia prayed that Christian Atsu’s soul rests in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord.
