The Postponement Of The NPP Ashanti Regional Election Is In The Right Direction- Private Legal Practitioner.

A Private Legal Practitioners, William Kusi, has said that the postponement of the NPP Regional elections in the Ashanti region is in the right direction.

The Ashanti regional elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rescheduled it’s regional elections to Saturday, 28th May 2022, to select new batch of Executives to manage affairs of the party in the next four years.

Confirming the latest development, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei explained that the postponement would make it easier for the committee to re-look at things and put them in order.

Speaking on the MOVEMENT IN THE MORNING political show, Mr Kusi described the decision as a good one.

The postponement became necessary because several concerns were raised about the unavailability of the delegates photo Album.

“If you’re not fair to everyone and someone loses, it’s definitely going to cause huge confusion within the party. Therefore I’m sure that’s the right way to go”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.

The photo Album is the register of all eligible delegates to vote at the Regional Congress. It’s also to enable Aspirants to know exactly who is entitled to attend and actively participate in the event while monitoring to ward off the inclusion of unqualified persons during the voting.
