Former Majority Leader and MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has expressed concerns about the influx of new MPs, stating that it’s problematic to have so many new faces. However, he believes that these new MPs have potential and can make valuable contributions if they study and learn from their predecessors.
Speaking on Wontumi’s Morning show with Oheneba Aseidu, Kyei Mensah Bonsu emphasized that every era brings new people with unique strengths and abilities.
He encouraged the new MPs to learn from those who came before them, saying, “They can equally do it just as we did during our tenure if they study well.”
Kyei Mensah Bonsu noted that the large number of new MPs – almost 60 on the NPP side – can be challenging, as the new ones outnumber the old ones. Nevertheless, he identified some promising new MPs and stressed the need to support them in growing and developing their skills.
Ultimately, Kyei Mensah Bonsu’s message is one of optimism and encouragement, urging the new MPs to seize the opportunities before them and make a positive impact.
