The last time Prof. Ken Attafuah contested an election, he placed 4th out of the 5 contestants who availed themselves to be elected as Clerk to Parliament, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has revealed.
Based on Prof. Ken Attafuah’s poor performance in that election, the Assin Central Member of Parliament has told him not to take party members who ensured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was retained in power after the 2020 general elections, for granted again.
“In 2017, when we wanted a Clerk in Parliament, he came to contest. He should come out and challenge me if what I am saying is wrong… He wanted to Clerk but he placed 4th out of the 5 contestants who participated in that election”, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong said to demonstrate the struggle politicians go through to win an election.
He therefore warned that Prof. Ken Attafuah can’t disrepect the masses that ensured the NPP won the 2017 and 2020 elections respectively for him to be appointed as Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA).
“He(Attafuah) uses the party to get his position and after getting it, he turns his back on us”, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong angrily said.
