Government communications team member, Manasseh Atta Boahen, has said the elections committees’ decision for the national aspirants to remount their huge billboards is in the right direction.
This comes after the election committee headed by Peter Mac Manu instructed the national aspirants to remount their billboards ahead of the National Delegate Conference. He stated that the aspirants are allowed to campaign, however they should desist from using extravagant and huge billboards.
Manasseh speaking on the above on Movement In The Morning Show said, ‘’we have seen what has been going on since time immemorial. Vote buying and billboards are not really necessary at this point. The delegate’s already know who they are voting-billboard or money won’t change their minds. Whichever way the elections will go, the aspirants must hold it in good faith because the main focus is to break the 8’’.
He stated that the party has rules and regulations so once the leaders have brought such directives the aspirants must accept it.
“We should all go on propagating the good works of the NPP. The opposition has noting good to offer Ghanaians. The elections is not about bill boards, is about the people who can help the party achieve its goal of breaking the 8’’, he indicated.
On the 16th of July, the NPP will elect their new executive to lead the party ahead of the 2024 elections.
