The Credibility of Erastus Asare Donkor is Questionable – Lawyer Adom Appiah

The NPP Regional Secretary, Lawyer Adom Appiah, has questioned the credibility of journalist, Erastus Asare Donkor, suggesting that he has an evil agenda and was selective in his reporting.

This comes after the journalist claimed that Chinese nationals involved in illicit mining operations in the town of Samereboi were working for Akonta Mining Limited, a company owned by prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.

“Chairman Wontumi no longer mines in Samreboi, despite the fact that he has the legitimate license to operate. As a result of how depleted the land has become due to the activities of illegal miners in the area. Chairman Wontumi has taken a bold initiative to reclaim the land, by planting 18,000 coconut trees, looking forward to planting 22, 000 more. However, the biased journalist chose to single out negative news, which is not even related to Akonta Mining, and ignored the good initiative by Akonta mining,” he told Oheneba Asiedu on Wontumi TV.

In conclusion, Lawyer Appiah expressed concern about the precedent being set by the Minister’s actions.

“What’s even the guarantee that you will be retained as the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources throughout Mahama’s four years?” he asked, emphasizing the need for caution and adherence to the law.
