A senior lecturer with the Kumasi Technical University (KSTU), Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo has stated that the best candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as regional Chairman is Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alias Chairman Wontumi.
The respected lecturer in an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that it will be difficult for anybody to beat Chairman Wontumi when there is an open contest to elect a regional Chairman.
“The best candidate for Ahanti region is only Wontumi. Wontumi only needs to improve himself, it will be difficult for someone to do what he has done”, Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo said.
Also on the show, David Boakye, who is the Bono East Regional Secretary for the NPP described Chairman Wontumi as someone who is key and has experience in the party.
“If he leaves this region and goes to another region, the way the party receives him shows he has influence. He is one person the party needs to protect”, David Boakye said.
As a regional Secretary, he explained that he has learnt a lot from Chairman Wontumi. He continued that out of the 16 regional Chairmen the NPP has, Chairman Wontumi remains the only one who has charisma and is able to click with authority.
