Thanks To NPP’s Planting For Foods And Jobs Program, Ghana Would Have Gone In Severe Famine-Former MP

A former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ekumfi Constituency, Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe, has applauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its planting for foods and jobs policy which has saved the country from global food crisis.

He said this on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro on Wednesday, 20th July, 2022.

According to the former deputy Fisheries Minister, although the world is hit by the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, Ghana is still surviving while other countries are starving.

He said,“Kenya, Tunisia, and most of the Arab nations have experienced famine because they get their food from Ukraine. Foods are quite expensive in Ghana but there is no shortage in the country because of the planting for foods and jobs policy which was initiated by President Akufo-Addo and the Agric minister, Owusu Afriyie Akoto. I have participated in several farmer’s day program and the farmers are excited about the program. A lot of people are venturing into farming because they have been motivated by the lucrative policy’’.

He stated that all of Government’s policies have impacted several communities and individuals making emphasis to the free SHS policy, school feeding program and other social interventions.
