An Ashanti regional communications team member, Dr Boadi Suadwua, has told those ruining Chairman Wontumi’s name to cease because it will produce no result.

He expressed his concerns on the fake rumors surrounding the incumbent Ashanti Regional Chairman who is currently contesting to retain his seat in the Region.

On Friday, 20th May, 2022 while speaking on Movement in the morning political show, Dr Suadwua debunked the claims by some party members who are believed to have been hired by certain people from the opposing party; National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He said that ‘’the rumor about Chairman Wontumi keeping the cars that was meant for auctioning makes no sense, they are doing this because of the coming elections. These people will not be moving from radio stations to speculate false information if they had no motive. And I am surprised because Kwabena Nyame the serial caller chairman is a beneficiary of auctioned cars, but he is the same person spreading fabricated allegations. I dare him to come out and say he has not got any of the cars”.

He further said “Some people have been hired to speculate fake news to smear the image of Chairman Wontumi. We all know his wealth before he became the chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region, and the NDC’s are aware that he is very instrumental in breaking the eight so they have gone behind the scenes to work against him’’.

He stressed that he has witnessed how Chairman Wontumi has sacrificed for the party and urged NPP members in the Ashanti Region to focus on holding the party in power come 2024.

“Breaking the eight needs Chairman Wontumi’’, he concluded.

Chairman Wontumi known in real life as Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has been the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP for eight years and is currently racing to maintain his seat.
