Tariff Increment: Where Is The Cheap Electricity You Promised Us Under 24 Hour Economy? – Dasebre Dwamena Questions Mahama

A renowned radio and TV journalist has questioned President John Mahama over his failed promise to provide Ghanaians with cheap electricity alternative as captured under his 24 hour campaign promise.

Dasebre Agyei Dwamena stated on Movement TV that it has become necessary to question President Mahama due to the recent 14.75% announcement by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) on electricity.

The PURC has announced an upward adjustment in the average end-user tariff for electricity by 14.75%, and a 4.02% increase in water tariffs across the board for all categories of consumers.

“John Mahama together with Asideu Nketia told us that we will get cheap electricity to work with. But it has been almost three to four months and they have stopped talking about 24hr economy. John Mahama has stopped talking about it”, he said.
