NDC MPs Can’t Exchange Ideas, They Only Like Boxing- Sticka

Private legal practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has scolded legislator for the Asawase Constituency labeling him as someone who deliberately wants bring the integrity of the Judiciary down for mischievous reasons.

Addressing the issue of corruption allegation Hon. Muntaka levelled against a yet to be known Supreme Court Judge, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw stated that the issue is not a mere allegation but rather, a criminal pronouncement.

He there stated on Wontumi TV that Hon. Muntaka must be forced to name the judge who tried to influence a female legislator to vote in a particular manner when it came to electing a new Speaker of Parliament.

Lawyer Ampaw noted that if this action is taken and the truth favours Muntaka, it will go a long way to help the Judiciary flush out any corrupt Judge.

He was quick to add that if it turns out that the National Democratic Congress legislator is telling lies, he should be “cited for contempt and spreading of false news” adding that “we shouldn’t allow a Member of Parliament make an irresponsible statement and go scot free.”

After receiving numerous backlash, Muntaka apologised for the bribery accusation issuing a statement that read “Based upon good counsel, I have also decided to let sleeping dogs lie and will consequently refrain from any further public comment on the matter which, as I have indicated was originally reported to me by a female colleague Parliamentarian.”

But in reacting to the apology letter written by Hon. Muntaka to the Supreme Court over his bribery allegation, Lawyer Ampaw responded that the letter was never an apology letter but rather a “long love letter“.
