Take COVID-19 Jabs To Avert Reintroduction Of Restrictions- TAGG Urges Traders

The Traders Advocacy Group Ghana (TAGG) is urging all players in the trading community to ensure they take the Covid-19 vaccines to curtail the spread of the virus.

Ghana currently has over 12,000 active cases of the pandemic.

It will be recalled that some restrictions including a lockdown were introduced as a preventive measure when the virus first broke in the country.

President of TAGG, David Amoateng, stated that the reintroduction of such measures could be detrimental for the trading community as it continues to grapple with the impact of the pandemic hence his call for his members to ensure they take the jabs as soon as possible.

He stated that “If the government brings in any news strategy or plans that will close the markets we will be well affected and we will be badly hit. So we will entreat all traders especially our members to take the COVID-19 vaccines and forget about what people are saying.”

“As I speak to you, I have taken the two jabs.” He added.

All markets were closed and disinfected during the peak of the pandemic 2 years ago.

This meant a halt in business for traders who were already dealing with the impact the pandemic had on the economy in general.
