Evelyn Keelson, a Chief State Attorney at the Office of the Attorney General, has urged a 7-member jury to return a guilty verdict in the trial of 14 persons accused of murdering Major Maxwell Mahama. The prosecutor rounding up her closing address told the jury that the prosecution has been able to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and the accused persons were not able to offer any reasonable explanations to the evidence led against them. Major Mahama Case: Jury Not Properly Constituted, Case Adjourned To May 8

Continuation of the case in which some 14 persons are standing trial for the murder of late military officer, Major Maxwell Mahama, has been adjourned to May 8 because the jury was not properly constituted. The 12th Accused person was expected to open his defence before the High Court in Accra presided over by Justice Mariama Owusu, a Justice of the Supreme Court, sitting as an additional High Court judge.
