A former Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Oquaye of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is to lead an 11-member election review committee, set up by the NPP to investigate the party’s heavy loss in the just-ended 2024 general elections. Justin Frimpong Kodua, the party’s General Secretary, said the committee’s terms of reference include reviewing the internal elections and campaign strategy, identifying the challenges that led to the electoral defeat, and proposing solutions. Akosombo Dam Spillage: Govt Sets Up Committee To Coordinate Response

The government has set up a 13-member inter-ministerial committee to coordinate responses to victims affected by the Akosombo dam spillage. This was announced in a press release issued by the Ministry of Information. The statement noted that, the committee will be chaired by the Chief of Staff, Frema Akosua Osei Opare.
