5 Of 10 Youth Resource Centres To Be Completed By End Of March 2023 – Pius Enam Hadzide

Five of the ten Youth Resource Centres being constructed across the country are set to be completed and handed over by the end of March 2023, that is according to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Pius Enam Hadzide. The construction of the facilities started in 2018 and was supposed to take nine months to complete but five years down the line not a single has been completed. A Joy Sports campaign tagged Bush Resource Centres has been highlighting the neglect and abandoning of the facilities which have already seen about $20 million invested in the projects.…

The 10 Youth Resource Centres That Have Become Bush Resource Centres

In 2018, the government of Ghana through the then Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah, cut sod for the building of ten multi-purpose Youth Resouce Centres across all parts of the country. The facilities were to be in ten regions with each centre estimated to cost an amount of $1.8 million with construction expected to be completed within nine months. Wa, Dormaa, Dunkwa Offin, Koforidua, Nyinahini, Axim, Accra, Navrongo, Yendi and Ho are the places cited by the government to house the facilities.
