One Dead In An Accident Involving Trailer, 3 Salon Cars

A trailer has run over three salon cars at Sokoban in the Ashanti Region, leaving one person dead. A trailer with registration AS 9456 D lost control of its brake and run over three salon cars, mangling two of the cars. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle, which was carrying a 40-foot container, was coming from Sokoban on the Ahodwo-Trede road. The deceased is identified as a male who was driving with his wife, who got injured. The woman and another person in a different car are receiving treatment at the Asafo Agyei Hospital. Pwds Take To The Streets To Appeal For Orthopedic Centres

Some Persons with Disability (PwDs) in the Ashanti Region have protested government’s failure to build an orthopedic treatment facility for them. According to the group, government has over the years reneged on its promises to provide quality healthcare for PwDs. The current facility for treatment is dilapidated, wears an old painting, benches and tables as furniture, and completely dysfunctional equipment. An uneven road worsens their access to the facility. Police Arrest 3 Suspects For Disturbances During The Ashanti Regional NDC Executives’ Election

The Police have arrested three persons for violent disturbances during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ashanti Regional Executives Election held on Sunday at Kumasi.
