Country Director for the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Ghana, Judith Oluwole Kuwornu, has responded the video by actress Gloria Sarfo, lashing out at the organisers of the awards, following the challenges some Ghanaian film makers faced with their flight tickets while leaving for the event in Nigeria. Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah was adjudged Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs) which was held in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday November 2, 2024. She was awarded for her role in ‘Red Carpet’, a movie producer by filmmaker and costume designer Samira Yakubu, who also happens to be Jackie’s manager.
