A political analyst and chief, Etwienana Baffour Oteatuoso Kokoben II, has appealed to city authorities in the Ashanti region and other major towns, to put a stop to harassing market women, drivers and other petty traders with few months left to a major election.
The Chief who sounded amazed by the frustrations some city guards are deliberately visiting on market women stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that the leadership of the New Patriotic Party must quickly look at the matter and stop the discontent occurring at various market places.
He also mentioned that he is aware that some “moles” in the NPP are conniving with the National Democratic Congress to create the mood of disaffection among market women and drivers who have constantly voted for the NPP.
“If you are a member of the NPP and you are convincing with NDC, you will be dealt with. There are some people in the NPP doing that. They should be very careful.”
“NPP won’t wait for the election to head to a round off before we go and beg market women, drivers and others to come out again and vote for us”, Etwienana Baffour Oteatuoso Kokoben II said.
