On October 17, 2024, Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, celebrated his 40th birthday.
The singer received well-wishes from fans and notable figures, including Stonebwoy and broadcaster Serwaa Amihere.
Despite their differences over the past six years, Stonebwoy took to social media to share heartfelt birthday wishes for Shatta Wale.
He wrote, “No matter the differences, I wish you long life, brother! Big 40… (Blackstar age).”
In response, Shatta Wale disagreed with Stonebwoy’s use of the word “differences.”
He asserted that their fans don’t need what he described as “enmity.”
“Which differences? Stop fooling and grow up… The fans don’t need this enmity. Be safe,” he posted.
Shatta and Stonebwoy’s rivalry has intensified in recent times with particularly Shatta slamming the BHIM Nation boss the least chance he gets.
Their feud intensified on social media when Stonebwoy criticised an article from the Grammy Recording Academy that featured Shatta Wale, Reggie Rockstone, Buk Bak, Black Sherif, and others as pioneers of hiplife, excluding him from the list.
Shatta Wale criticised Stonebwoy for what he described as his greedy nature and desire to be included in everything.
The two dancehall rivals have engaged in one of the longest modern feuds in the showbiz industry, with instances where they nearly came to blows.
