Broadcast Journalist with Wontumi Multimedia, Dasebre Agyei Dwamena, has express his displeasure over frivolous removal of party executive names from the party album.
According to him, these are some of the reasons that had accounted for the loses of the party in most constituency including the woeful defeat in the recent ended by-election in Assin north.
“I was deeply surprised by the outcome of the Assin north by-election…I was really optimistic that we would have won the by-election. Because although we lost the Parliamentary seat in 2020, Assin north voted massively voted Nana Addo and NPP so definitely it was a thing of apathy that contributed to our defeat. I was looking forward to seeing party executives resolve every issue within the constituency like they did in Kumawu so that every apathy would have been solved”, he said on Movement TV.
However, he noted that he was very disappointed that his expectations were cut short- stressing that people shouldn’t be given the opportunity to do things that brings apathy within the party which includes deliberate expunging of some members and executives from the party especially within the polling station and constituency level.
“There was one town in Assin where we were informed that the constituency Chairman was expunged and out of pain, he was able to influence over hundred supporters and sympathizers of the party defect to the NDC….This is happening due to someone’s parochial interest…These things will go a long way to affect the fortunes of the party”, he advised.
In conclusion he advised that the party should be transparent in all their dealings and affairs.
