STATEMENT: NPP MPs Rescind Decision To Boycot 2023 Budget Statement To Be Read By Ken Ofori-Atta

An agreement has been struck between the Majority Caucus, leadership and Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to have Members of Parliament (MPs) of the party to attend to all Government Businesses in the House.

The agreement captures rescinding their decision to boycott the 2023 Budget Statement to be delivered by the Finance Minister Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta.

In a release signed by both the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong and Majority Chief Whip of Parliament, Hon. Annoh-Dompreh, it was agreed upon that the Majority Caucus “stood down” their request for the President to fire the Finance Minister before round of negotiations is concluded with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
