It is an honour and a great pleasure for the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, to extend his heartiest congratulations on your appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
On behalf of all the members of our party in the region and beyond, he wishes you every success in your endeavours. Chairman Wontumi is certain that under your leadership, KATH will maintain and accelerate its mission of becoming a centre of excellence in the provision of specialist healthcare services in the West African subregion.
As the good book says in Isaiah 60:22, “….when the time is right I, the Lord will make it happen”. Indeed, few years ago, the President of the Republic recognised your competence and value with an appointment as the Director-General of the Ghana Standards Authority, but as fate would have it, you had to take up another challenge at the university. It is obvious the Almighty God was preparing you for a more suitable and familiar place; a position which both your academic background and professional experience fit perfectly in.
It also goes without saying that, the hospital, a place where the restoration of strength to our bodies, as well as the renewal of health, are sought at, clearly comes next to God, in that regard. So, as a professional who finds fulfilment in serving God, and also passionate about the health and well-being of the vulnerable in the society, we find this position the most suitable, as it affords you the chance to serve the Almighty God through the service to the sick and weak in the society.
Mr. Antwi-Boasiako believes that, this appointment, in recognition of your extraordinary efforts and commitment to serving, encouraging and strengthening excellence in health delivery is rightly deserved. It is, therefore, another indication of the confidence reposed in you by the President, to lead this noble health institution whose role is essential in the provision of quality health services to meet the needs and expectations of all Ghanaians. Consequently, he expects and believe that, your leadership at this centre of excellence will be hinged on credible efforts to accelerate sustainable and excellent health care delivery.
