Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Lawyer Kwabena Boateng, has raised serious concerns about some members of the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) team, established by President John Mahama to recover all State properties captured by the previous administration appointees.
Speaking on Wontumi TV’s Morning Show, Lawyer Boateng alleged that some members of the ORAL team own state properties at Cantonments, Accra, which is ironic given their role in recovering stolen state properties.
According to Hon. Boateng, what’s even more disturbing, is the that some of these individuals have acquired state properties in the names of their spouses.
The MP threatened that the vetting committee will hold accountable those individuals who have been nominated for ministerial positions and have been implicated in these allegations.
Lawyer Boateng also emphasized that the NPP Minority will ensure that the government is held responsible for its actions. He expressed concerns about the numerical strength of the NPP Minority but warned the Majority NDC not to underestimate their resolve and integrity.
However, Lawyer Boateng was quick to note that the opposition won’t be distracting or hunting the government. Instead, they’ll focus on ensuring that the government does what’s best for all Ghanaians. He believes that Ghanaians will judge the government based on its performance, compare to the NPP Nana Addo/Bawumia administration and make informed decisions in the future.
