Shatta Wale Didn’t Meet Requirements – French Ambassador On Accra In Paris Exclusion
The maiden edition of what hopefully becomes an annual concert between Ghanaian artiste and French musicians, Accra in Paris, began and ended on a successful note without Shatta Wale. And here’s why?
The French ambassador to Ghana, H.E Anne Sophie Ave, who contrived the initiative, has addressed why Shatta Wale did not perform at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris.
Some Tweeps have insinuated that dancehall artiste was deliberately shunned for the internationally publicised one of a kind event on April 23. H.E Anne Sophie acknowledged Shatta Wale as she explained the circumstances surrounding his absence.
“How could anyone forget about @shattawalegh?… Again the concert was about french and Ghanaian artists who had done featuring together.”
Conferring to her reply, Accra in Paris was structured by the French Embassy to promote past collaborations between French and Ghanaian artists. Therefore Shatta Wale did not make the cut because he had no features with the French. But proposed to introduce Shatta Wale to some French artists for future partnerships.
Accra in Paris saw the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kwabena Kwabena and Fameye sharing the big stage with some decorated French artists amidst audiences from around the world.
