Sefwi Oseikrom: Sch. Children No Longer Learn Under Cocoa Trees- DCE Mocks NDC
Pupils of Oseikrom, a rural community in the Sefwi-Juaboso District who were some time past schooling under Cocoa trees now attend school in a newly constructed building through the efforts of hardworking District Chief Executive , Hon. Martha Kwayie Manu .
“At first the total population of the school was not up to 20 because most parents did not want their wards to learn under cocoa trees for fear of being harmed by snakes and other pests. But thankfully, we have provided them an imposing school building and this has become a major incentive for both parents and children.” She said.
The DCE who is also the Parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the area was speaking on Wontumi Radio and TV’s Election 2020 when he made the disclosure to Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
“Currently parents no longer consider sending their children to the farm as a better option. Rather they prefer sending them to the Oseikrom Primary as the school’s environment has become serene. They see it as a safe place for their wards to acquire knowledge.”
According to the Madam Kwayie Manu, the school’s population has swelled up with all classroom filled to the brim.
“The kids are eager to return to school but for the COVID-19 restrictions they have to wait awhile for normal schooling to resume.” She said

Education
Construction of 6 Unit classroom block with ancillary facility at Adumase.
More school projects either 3 or 6 unit classroom blocks (some with ancillary facilities) have been provided at New Berekum, Abrokofie, Juaboso, Sekyerenso, Abooso, Atieleve, Ayemadiem, Dome, Danyame,Adamase among others.,
Hon. Kwayie Manu has also distributed 30 desktop computers to Mafia government school.
Roads
Re-shaping of Gyato to Dangermu stretch is on course as well as construction of Juaboso town roads.
Construction of 3 No. box concrete bridge at Kwagyiemkrom and 2 No. box culvert bridge at Domi.
Agriculture
Ware House at Juaboso
Planting for Food and Export and Rural Development at Abono.
Cocoa health and extension programme at Sakyerano, Atiabante, Nkwanta, Assakrom and Domi.

Expansion of Juaboso government kids ward

Construction of 3 seater toilet and 3 seater urinal at Juaboso.
