Counsel for the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has clarified that today’s court sitting is strictly for case management and not related to the Samreboi matter.
Speaking to the media prior to the start of proceedings, Andy Appiah-Kubi explained that the focus of the day’s hearing would be on issues concerning the Numeri Forest under the CMC case management process.
“Today’s matter is different from the Samreboi case. We are addressing the issue concerning the Numeri Forest in relation to the CMC case management. After that, we will agree on a date to commence the trial. For now, today’s proceedings are strictly for CMC case management,” he stated.
His comments were intended to draw a clear distinction between the Samreboi case and the Numeri Forest matter currently before the court.
