Ghanaian dancehall legend, Samini lashed out at a fan who tried to spark controversy by asking for his opinion on the performance of Shatta Wale’s SAFA album compared to Stonebwoy’s hit song “Jejereje.”
The interaction took place during one of Samini’s live sessions on social media, where some fans infiltrated the comment section with questions about his former protégé, Stonebwoy.
Visibly irritated by the question, Samini didn’t hold back in his reply as he believes the question is a trap intended for him to be dragged.
Samini made it clear that he doesn’t believe Shatta Wale’s album has flopped, before ordering the fan to direct their question elsewhere:
Making his stance even clearer, Samini told the fan that he is focused on his own career and doesn’t entertain such divisive comparisons.
“Why are you interested in my opinion? You’re setting a trap for me to be dragged. My opinion is that you don’t have sense to even compare in the first place. You can’t ask that one-on-one; you hide behind social media to instigate things.
He challenged fans to approach him personally if they truly wanted his opinion.
