Road Construction: Wontumi Hasn’t Been Paid To Complete Manso Roads – Ashanti Regional Minister
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei- Mensah has disclosed that road contractor, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has not been paid to complete the Manso Moseaso- Asuono and other poor road networks.
Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah has bemoaned that, Chairman Wontumi has fixed the poor roads to a far length but has not received even a penny from the government.
The Ashanti Regional Minister was speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show, Monday 7/02/2022.
He indicated, that every contractor needs money before he can return to the site.
Hon. Simon Osei -Mensah hinted that the government has stopped prefinancing road contracts.
“Road construction is more difficult than building a house. And This is why the E-Levy is critical,” he said.
