The National Council of Elders, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appealed to all party members and sympathizers to refrain from any campaign activities for party positions.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the council, Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang, it was observed that some executives, members and sympathizers are in support of those interested in various positions within the party at the constituency, regional and national level.
“The elders of the party are deeply concerned about this development and wish to appeal to all our members and sympathizers to refrain from such activities which do not help our effort to rebuild and energize the party following our 2024 disappointing electoral defeats”, part of the statement said.Â
“Fellow members of NPP, this is the time for us to soberly reflect on what happened to us in 2024. Time for internal competitions shall certainly come to pass. For the moment, it is critical for us to rebuild and energize our party,”, it stressed.Â
