A tour around Korle Bu and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, would lead one to the massive projects First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has constructed but can same be said about her predecessor Lordina Mahama, the Kwame Baffoe has asked.
The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) believes the massive works Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has undertaken in Ghana’s health sector are impressive and dwarfs that of Lordina Mahama who cannot boost of any.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Abronye DC challenged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to point to Ghanaians the contributions of Lordina Mahama to nation aside taking fat allowances from her husband’s government.
Under the leadership of First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, she has commissioned a new 41-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to provide quality and adequate health care to children.
She also commissioned the Mother and Baby Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
With a built area of 2,722 square metres, the facility that cost 2.5 million dollars would provide greater and adequate spaces for the different types of procedures at the Hospital.
