Reactions On Social Media Shows John Mahama Lacks Credibility- Ghanaian Times Journalist
Cliff Ekuful

A Ghanaian Times Journalist by name Cliff Ekuful, has expressed surprise at the way some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are jubilating over the latest release of the Economic Intelligence unit (EIU) after vehemently bastardizing the institution in the past.

After being guarded by the NDC’s history of rubbishing reports by the EIU, Cliff Ekuful stated that “I am surprised they are jubilating because they have bastardized them (EIU) in the past vehemently”.

The EIU has projected a win for the opposition NDC after the 2024 General Elections in a report published on Friday, April 28, 2023 and contained in their April 2023 Country Report on Ghana.

Apportion of their report read: A former president, John Mahama, launched his campaign to secure the NDC presidential candidacy in March.

However, the NDC could also choose to revitalise its prospects with a fresh candidate, such as Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister, who has also declared his intention to secure the party candidacy.

Speaking as a guest on Movement TV’s ‘B3 Kyere Mu’ show and offering an opinion on the EIU report, Cliff Ekuful stated that Mr. John Mahama is in a complex position because he “lacks credibility” in the eyes of most Ghanaians.

Judging from social media reactions generated under posts shared by the social media team of former President John Mahama, Cliff Ekuful stressed that many have doubts about his credibility as a leader.

If you are political watcher you will be tempted to think NDC can win the 2024 elections…I used an unscientific means to conduct my survey and comments under his (Mahama) posts shows he doesn’t have that credibility in the eyes of Ghanaians”, Cliff Ekuful said.
