Rawlings Death Disturbing And Painful- NPP Sympathizer

Etwienana Baffour Oteatuoso Kokoben II Akwanserehene of Akyem Kwabeng has paid a personal tribute to the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings.

According to him the demise of the NDC founder is very disturbing and painful but noted that “death is inevitable.”

Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show carried live on Wontumi Radio and TV on Friday morning, he recounted that , “JJ Rawlings was a soldier turned Politician.”

According to Nana Oteatuoso, Jerry John Rawlings would be remembered for his favourite June 4 celebrations where he used to wear his military uniform to address Ghanaians.

“The 1992 Constitution was written during his regime.” He emphasized

The NPP sympathizer said that, “Jerry John Rawlings cannot be forgotten in the NDC party’s scheme of things because he toiled and used his blood to establish the Party.”

He said the late former President’s name cannot be mentioned without talking about the coup d’etats that have occurred in the country.

He said that, J.J. and the former President was associated with some of the major coup d’etats that occurred in the country.

Nana Oteatuoso said that, Jerry John Rawlings played his part in the country’s development before his demise so it is left with the citizens to continue.

Nana Oteatuoso heaped praises on President Akufo-Addo for his emotional tribute to the late former President.

He said that President Akufo-Addo has demonstrated that he is the President “God has chosen for Ghanaians in this crucial time.”

He said that the President deserves applause from the Rawlings family for his words of encouragement and the befitting burial he talked about.

“President Nana Akufo-Addo has directed that, all national flags should fly at half mast to signify that the entire country is in a deep sorrow.

Former President Jerry John Rawlings was born on 22nd June 1947 and died on 12th November, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
