Manhyia Palace has confirmed that an official invitation has been sent to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to attend the funeral of the late British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Deputy Protocol Officer at Manhyia, Emmanuel Safo made this confirmation to Oheneba Nana Asiedu on the Friday Edition of Wontumi TV Morning Show.
Britain is observing a period of national mourning following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022.
By the wishes of the new King Charles III, it will continue until seven days after the Queen’s state funeral, which will take place at 11 am on Monday 19 September.
