A protégé of renowned journalist Kweku Baako, has branded former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Chairperson of the erstwhile Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng an “egoistic” person.

Gordon Asare-Bediako said of Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng “he is too egoistic and thinks of himself better than others”.

Gordon Asare-Bediako, opened up on Wontumi TV that his boss Kweku Baako used to hold Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng in high esteem but following the “lies” he has told on him, he doubts Kweku Baako would keep him in his good books.

“If you give Kweku a paper and pen and ask him to write the names of three people he respects in the NPP, Prof name would be part but it isn’t the case now”, he said as he elaborated on the fallout of a document authored by Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, which, allegedly, imputes wrongdoing on the part of some persons in the fight against Galamsey.

Prof. Boateng in the report bemoaned how the seasoned journalist published unsavory comments about him.

“The IMCIM organized its task force and a complex operation to dislodge Donald Entsuah and his C&G Aleska from Diaso forest. The jubilation in the communities around the concession was ecstatic. Naturally, Donald Entsuah and his friend were not happy with what the IMCIM did.

“I, in particular, came under severe attack. a fierce attacker was Mr. Kweku Baako, a journalist who personally called to inform me that the managers of C&G were his friends, Mr. Kweku Baako Published unsavoury things about me at the time,” parts of the report on illegal mining sent to the Chief of Staff of the Presidency said.
