Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has waded into the controversy stirred by Prof. Frimpong Boateng when he sought to accuse some high profile government officials of dabbling in illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.
According to him, Prof Frimpong Boateng has metamorphosed him into a bitter person like former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu who takes delight in badmouthing people through his various epistles.
“When you are not happy, you start writing like Martin Amidu. When Martin Amidu left the Special Prosecutor office he started writing epistles and has been writing by heart. It all comes out of pain. People who are out of office when they are not happy, they write and write and you could see that all the writings were done in pain.
Prof, I am sorry with your records and achievements in life, you don’t deserve this kind of treatment from me. I felt very strong in criticizing you but I had no choice than to tell you the gospel truth that your report is not worth looking into and Ghanaians should treat it with the contempt that it deserves”, lawyer Ampaw said.
After reviewing the document released by Prof. Frimpong Boateng on galamsey, lawyer Ampaw concluded on the ‘Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem’ show which airs on Wontumi TV that the report was “full of hearsay and personal hatred” and maintained that it exposed the writer as a “bitter person”.
