The Director General of the National Lottery Authority of Ghana, Sammi Awuku, has opened up about a deep conversation he had with vice President Bawumia and his plans to create opportunities for the youth and build a robust economy for the country.

Mr. Awuku revealed that he personally asked Dr. Bawumia why he wants to President of Ghana and his response convinced him that he is the right man for the job.

In a one-on-one chat with Gordon Asare Bediako on Movement TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Sammi Awuku said that “I asked him (Bawumia) his reason for wanting to become President of Ghana and he said to me that he wants to create opportunities for the young people and he believes we can build a robust economy we (NPP) were building before the pandemic hit.”

Mr. Awuku believes Bawumia’s policy of inclusion is also another magic wand that is working in his favour. “Again his policy of inclusion, I see different faces- different people who have accompanied other candidates in the past, moving with him now.

Dr. Bawumia is also a tolerant person when it comes to religious matters and Sammi Awuku stressed that it shows that he doesn’t discriminate but gives respect to everybody around him.

You also realize that he is tolerant when it comes to religious matters. This is a man who would honour an invitation to a church program and you will as well see him worshiping with his Muslim family. He doesn’t discriminate and gives respect to everybody”, he said.

Above all, Mr. Awuku asserts that in the game of politics, humility is a virtue and he sees that in Bawumia.

“Humility is a virtue in this our game, tolerance is a virtue in this our game and your ability to accommodate is also a virtue”, he said as he assigned reasons Dr. Bawumia would be a great President for Ghana.
