A communications team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Obrempong Frimpong Emmanuel has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to give Vice President Bawumia the power to appoint a new finance minister.

According to the NPP communicator, the current Finance Minister Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, is “tired” and must be replaced with another person who is to be appointed by Vice President Bawumia.

He also called out the Governor of Bank of Ghana, Mr. Ernest Addison stating that he ought to be replaced with another person.

“The Finance Minister is tired, he must resign. He together with the Governor of Bank of Ghana must sit up. People are not happy with the Finance Minister so the President must listen to the people and give them what they want”, he said on Wontumi TV.

In giving the people what they want, Obrempong Frimpong appealed to President Akufo-Addo to give his own Vice President Bawumia the “chance to elect a finance minister and governor for the Bank of Ghana”.
