President Akufo-Addo Inspects 1D 1F Project At Asokwa With MP,MCE.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo early Monday morning inspected the new premises of the Unijay Clothing Company Limited at Ahensan, a suburb of the Asokwa Municipality.

The company which has been in existence over two decades qualified to be part of the one district one factory module by the Trade Ministry two years ago and has since benefitted from the stimulus package by the Ministry.

Touring the site, the President accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei and the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah interacted with contractors and workers at the new site.

The new Unijay site when completed will become a major hub for the production and sewing of locally made fabrics and uniforms for senior high schools in the country.

COMMENTS:

In his succinct comments, the President charged the workers to do their best to complete the factory within the stipulated time.

He noted the project when completed would help to create more jobs for the people of Asokwa and others in the country.

The President thanked the CEO of the company for her industry and urged her to continue with her hard work.

MP:

Madam Patricia Appiagyei told reporters that her outfit was monitoring the progress of work at the site to ensure work is completed on time.

She noted that the factory has the potential to make Asokwa one of the best producers of African prints on the continent.

Also present at the inspection tour were Chairman of the Asokwa NPP and other executives of the constituency as well as many identifiable groups in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
