Wishing Gallant Ghanaian Workers a Happy Worker’s Day

The PNC says ‘ayekoo’ to the hardworking Ghanaians both in the public and private sector who are working day and night in order to make our nation great. The Workers’ Day serves as a reminder of the important contributions of our market women, the mechanics, teachers, drivers, security men, health workers in effect the working class in the development of our societies.

We wish to encourage our gallant workers to continue to put in their best especially in these challenging times.

It is our call on the government and the private sector to ensure a befitting compensation to workers. We believe that a well remunerated worker gives in his/her best. To whom much is given, it is said, much is expected.

We again, call on the government to as a matter of urgency bring to an end the ongoing strike by the Civil and Local Government workers. The PNC does not support neutrality allowance but rather are in support of a better condition of services for CLOSSAG members. It is our appeal to the workers to cooperate with government in order to arrive at an amicable resolution of the problem regarding the neutrality allowance.

We are assuring the hardworking class that a future PNC government will make their wellbeing a priority. We shall give a special attention to the salaries of our dear teachers; the PNC shall pay teachers equal salary as that of a minister and their retirement package shall be appreciable. Teachers and for that matter all other workers are the engine to grow our economy and so must be well lubricated.

PNC; Service with Honesty
Comradely yours,
