In the words of the person who posted this story on Facebook, he had “never met an honest, selfless human being like this gentleman ever.”
And those words from Seme Kor, on Facebook, were to Albert Quansah, a driver with one of the leading ride-hailing platforms in the country.
In the narration of this Facebook user, he had picked the ride in the afternoon of Thursday, October 10, 2024, and during the journey, had to make some electronic money transfers to his partner.
He explained that being the case, he had to pay Albert (the driver) via the same medium – Mobile Money, but that process mistakenly changed the direction of his transactions.
“Ok so I picked this bolt driver in the afternoon, and during my ride with him, I was making a money transfer to a partner until we got to my destination and I had to pay him. Took his momo number and then I transferred him his fare.
I forgot myself and I kept transferring money to him thinking I was transferring it to my partner, before I got back to my senses I transferred him GH¢38,600.
“My heart nearly dropped and I called him with aggression but he kept his cool and told me he was trying to call me but my number was busy and that he drove back to the location he dropped me thinking I would be there. I dashed off to the location and he was truly there waiting for me,” he wrote.
Seme Kor added that on top of that, the driver was patient enough to transfer GH¢15,000 to his partner that day, as that was the limit of the transactions he was able to do that day.
He also said that the icing on the cake was that the driver decided, in a spirit of further confidence, he leave his phone and Mobile Money pin with him so he could finish the transfers before he returned for it.
“Long story short he transferred 15k back to the number I was actually supposed to transfer the money to and left his phone and momo password with me to continue the transfer tonight since he has exceeded his limit, and that he will come back for the phone tomorrow morning.
“I have never met an honest, selfless human being like this gentle man ever in my life. Bolt company should be so proud of him. Albert Quansah is his name and 0534788539 is his MoMo number. He made me believe that good people truly exist in this messed up world. As a token of appreciation, I offered to pay him his daily sales which he said was GH¢700,” he added.
Since the story was shared, many people have also shared it and have been congratulating Albert in the comments section.
