(PICTURES) Asante Kotoko And Betika Officially Sign Gh¢1.3M Huge Sponsorship Deal

Ghana soccer giant, Asante Kotoko have officially signed a two-year deal worth Ghc 1.3 million with a betting company, Betika.com.gh

The Porcupine Warriors will be receiving about Ghc 630,000 per annum in cash and kind.

The team will also receive footballs, nets and other sports equipment.

The aim of the sponsorship is to invest in the youth by nurturing talent through sports, arts and culture.

During the official signing and jersey unveiling in Kumasi sighted by wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Premier powerhouse, Nana Yaw Amponsah said, Kotoko is glad to see this partnership deal with Betika has finally come to pass.

According to him, porcupine symbolises the strength of the Asante Kingdom and with Betika on board, both brands will conquer many territories.

Nana Yaw Amponsah hinted that Asante Kotoko conducted comprehensive research on Betika and was confident the betting company stands for responsible betting and against betting irregularities.

He advised the Kotoko fraternity not to do anything to bring the name of the two entities into disrepute.

“Kotoko will continue to work hand in hand with Betika to promote the brand. We will do what’s right with Betika to ensure both brands progress steadily,” he said.

Nana Yaw Amponsah however, urged Kotoko supporters who are interested in betting to let Betika be their only option.

For her part, the Country Manager for the betting company, Ms Michelle Kwame lauded the Kumasi-based club for welcoming them into their home of champions.

According to her, Betika.com.gh has great ambition to be the best betting company hence they can achieve that by collaborating with the best.

“We have come on board to help project the image of the club and make the fans happy,” she said.

Ms Michelle Kwame was emphatic that Betika is looking forward to the opportunities ahead of the two brands with this partnership.
