The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has revisited the controversy former President Mahama stirred when he requested for ownership of a state bungalow as part of his retirement benefit.
It would be recalled that on 19th December, 2016, former President John Mahama through Mr. Julius Debrah wrote an official letter to government demanding take home Bungalow No. 3 located at Cantonments as part of his retirement package.
Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi revisited the issue to demonstrate how sneaky Mr. Mahama can be when speaks about scraping ex-gratia payments.
“Just after retiring from office you started disturbing the government of Akufo-Addo that you want to keep the official home of the state and its adjoining facilities as your official retirement home. You can’t be taken serious when you talk about scraping ex-gratia because you are a corrupt man”, Chairman Wontumi said.
