Deputy National Communications Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party, George Krobea Asante, says the people of Assin will punish the National Democratic Congress and Gyakye Quayson for setting them backwards, by voting Charles Opoku into power.
Speaking in an interview with Oheneba, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Krobea Asante expressed his confidence, and hope in the 81 electoral areas in Assin where the by-election is set to take place.
He boasted of the developmental projects the NPP have undertaken in Assin North, and claimed that they will compel the people to vote for Charles Opoku.
According to him ”Oheneba when you come to Assin-North constituency, just like my brother and Boakye lady Vera said, we are done with 81 projects with NPP having to show a project for each town you go to. Where we currently are is Assin Praso, when you go to Assin Senior High Technical school, we have built dormitories and 12 units classroom block at the school, so we are done with 81 projects.
About hundred of them are at different levels of completion, so if someone comes to sit here to lie without shame or guilt that this government has done absolutely nothing since it came, then they do not know what they claim. Aside this i want people to know that this upcoming by-election is going to be about two things, which first of them is to thank our father Charles Opoku and NPP. I know the eighteen electoral areas would be happy to vote for Charles Opoku. Secondly, the people of Assin will vote Charles Opoku into power to punish the NDC and Quayson for taking them backward.”
