Morning Show Host on Wontumi TV, Oheneba Nana Asiedu, has called on national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intensify publicity efforts surrounding the party’s ongoing registration exercise by investing in paid media advertisements.
Speaking during his morning show, Oheneba Nana Asiedu criticized what he described as a lack of urgency and commitment among some party executives, urging them to immediately engage various media houses across the country to promote the exercise.
According to him, relying solely on Wontumi communication and internal communication channels is insufficient to reach a wider audience, stressing that many Ghanaians remain unaware of the registration exercise and the party’s current activities.
“Our national executives should stop the nonsense and go to the media houses to pay for commercials to promote the registration exercise,” he stated.
He argued that no media organization would offer sustained promotional coverage without compensation, adding that it is the responsibility of party leadership to ensure proper visibility of important party programs.
Oheneba Nana Asiedu further alleged that some executives appear indifferent toward the exercise because they do not personally benefit from it. He described their attitude as “lackadaisical,” warning that such behavior could negatively affect participation levels.
He therefore urged party delegates to closely monitor the performance of executives and make informed decisions during future internal elections.
He encouraged delegates to vote out officials who fail to demonstrate commitment and replace them with more effective leaders capable of advancing the party’s interests.
