Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Patoranking is mourning the loss of his younger sister, Chioma, and her husband, George, after a tragic gas explosion incident.
The devastating event reportedly occurred just a day after the couple celebrated the opening of their new home and their child’s birthday.
Instagram blogger, Cutie Juls, first broke the news, explaining that Chioma passed away immediately following the explosion, while her husband survived initially but succumbed to his injuries on September 11, 2024.
According to the blogger, Patoranking made significant efforts to save his brother-in-law by providing medical support, including blood donations, but George sadly could not recover.
The explosion, believed to have been caused by an inverter battery, occurred at the couple’s home in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
The couple left behind a 3-year-old son, who was with his grandmother at the time of the incident and survived the tragedy.
The tragic passing of Chioma and George has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many sending condolences and prayers for the family.
